Among Us recently released an update that introduces new features as well as bug fixes. If you are facing issues with the game on your device then the latest update might help fix such issues.

Update Among Us On PC
If you have disabled automatic updates, then you will need to manually click update to update Among Us to the latest version. If you are looking to update to a more recent version that was just released then you can follow the guide below to update your game.
In case the ‘Update’ option in the below guide is unavailable to you then you can follow the lengthier way of updating Among Us after this guide. Let’s’ take a look at how you can update Among Us in Steam the easy way.
Open Steam and click on ‘Library’ at the top.
Now click on ‘Among Us’ in the sidebar.
Instead of the ‘Play’ button, you should see a blue ‘Update’ button. Click on it to initiate the update.
And that’s it! Among Us will now be updated to the latest version released on Steam.

Method #2: Update all files of the game (still easy)
Among Us is currently available for PC users using Steam. If you wish to update the game to its latest version then you will need to use the Steam client on your Windows desktop. Ideally, Steam automatically updates all the games in your library to their latest version. If for some reason, your game hasn’t updated automatically or you have turned off automatic updates, then here is an easy way to manually update your games in Steam.

Open the Steam app on your PC and click on the ‘Library’ at the top.
Now find and right-click on ‘Among Us’ in the left sidebar where you will see a list of all your games.
Select ‘Properties’.
Now click on ‘Local Files’ at the top of the window.
Finally, click on ‘Verify Integrity of game files’.
Steam will now check all the local installation files on your system. During this process, the client will be able to identify the outdated version of the game which will be automatically completed once the integrity of the game files has been verified.
Note: This process can take some time depending on your local storage transfer speeds, network connectivity, and steam server response time. Ideally, this should take around 10 mins maximum.
Update Among Us On Android
Android users can easily update their game from the Play Store. If you are having trouble updating Among Us from the Play Store then you can use the second guide below to help you install the latest .Apk file on your device. Let’s take a look at each of these procedures.
Method 1: Update from the Play Store
Unlock your Android device and launch the Play Store. Now tap on the ‘Menu’ icon in the top left corner of your screen.
Tap on ‘My apps & games’.
You will now be shown a list of all the apps currently installed on your device with available updates right at the top. Scroll and find Among Us in the list.
Now tap on ‘Update’ beside it.
Play Store should now automatically start updating Among Us for you. Once the update is completed, you can launch and play the latest version of the game.

Method 2: Update manually using APK
To update Among Us manually, you will need the latest .Apk file for the game. Use this link to navigate to Apkmirror which is a trusted source of verified .apk files for most apps.
Scroll down and you will see a list of all the available updates for Among Us. The latest update should be right at the top which is the file you need to download. A good way to find the latest update would be to look at their corresponding release dates in the date column. As of writing this article, the latest update to Among Us was released on the 11th of September.
Tap on the ‘Download’ icon beside the file you wish to download.
Now tap on ‘Download APK’ at the bottom.
You will now be redirected to a new page where the download should automatically start on your system. Once the download completes, tap on ‘Open file’ at the bottom of your screen. Alternatively, you can also open the downloaded file from your download folder.
Tap on ‘Install’.
The app will now start installing on your Android device. Wait for the process to finish and tap on ‘Done’ once it is finished.
Note: If this is your first time installing apps from third-party sources on your Android device then you will need to permit your browser to install such apps. Once you’ve granted these permissions, you can install the app as mentioned above.
The latest version of Among Us should now be installed on your Android device.

Update Among Us On Bluestacks
Well, as you are running Android OS inside the BlueStacks emulator, you can update the Among Us game in your BlueStacks software using any of the two methods given above for Android.
Obviously, updating the game through the Play Store app in the BlueStacks is the easiest way. So, simply open the Play Store app in BlueStacks, search for Among Us, open its listing, and tap the update button.
Sure, in case that doesn’t work, you can use Method 2 (for Android as given above) in BlueStacks too. Here, get a browser like Chrome in BlueStacks, open it, visit the APKmirror website, find the latest APK file of Among Us, download it, and then install the APK file.
In case you installed Among Us through an app store bundled with Bluestacks then it might prevent you from updating the app from third party sources. Simply delete the installed game on your device and perform the latest installation using the .APK file you just downloaded.

Update Among Us On iPhone and iPad
iOS users can simply use the App Store to update Among Us on their devices. Apple devices are configured to update apps automatically out of the box. This means that updates are automatically performed when your device is not in use. If you have turned off automatic updates, then you can use the guide below to update Among Us on your iOS device.
Open the App Store and tap on your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Now scroll down to the ‘Available Updates’ section.
Find Among Us in this list and tap on ‘Update’ beside it.
The app will now automatically start updating itself and once the process is finished, you will be able to use the latest version of Among Us on your iOS device.
Install/Update Among Us on a Mac (powered by Apple M1 chip)
With the release of the new generation 2020 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, Apple is offering users the ability to install iPhone and iPad apps, all courtesy of the Apple M1 chips which power the two laptops.
This means you can play Among Us on the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro running on the new M1 chip by directly downloading the game from App Store. The availability of the Among Us game on the Mac is evident from the product pages of the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro which include Among Us alongside a list of iOS apps that can be readily installed on the new MacBooks. 
You can install Among Us’ iOS app on your new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro by opening the Mac App Store and then search for “Among Us” on the search bar at the left top corner of the app.
In the next screen which is the search results, click on the “iPhone & iPad Apps” tab to see the Among Us app that was originally made for iOS devices. This is where you will find the game as it won’t pop up in the search results if the ‘Mac Apps’ tab is selected. Update to Among Us Public Beta
A public beta for Among Us was just released that allows you to anonymize your votes. This ensures that nobody can see who you or anyone else voted for which will make the game a tad bit more interesting. If you are looking to get this latest public beta version then follow the guide below.

Open Steam and click on ‘Library’ at the top.
Now right-click on ‘Among Us’ in the left sidebar.
Click and select ‘Properties’.
Now click on the ‘Betas’ tab at the top.
Click on the drop-down list.
Select ‘public-beta-’.
Click on ‘Close’.
Now if you have automatic updates enabled, then the game will automatically update itself to the public beta.
The time it takes to update the game will depend on your network speed. If you do not have automatic updates enabled, then simply click on the ‘Update’ icon as shown below.
Among Us should now be updated to the latest public beta version on your system. You can now enjoy the latest bug fixes and performance improvements alongside the ability to anonymize your votes.

Latest Updates
November 26, 2020: As part of a new update, Innersloth has announced a bunch of additions and upcoming features to Among Us. The most significant of this is that the developers are removing ads in entirety at least till 2021 to improve the playing experience for everyone. Innersloth says there have been a bunch of issues with inappropriate ads on mobile which is why it’s removing ads for everyone and also offer something extra for those who paid to get ads removed.
Another major announcement in this update was the reveal of a new map which isn’t yet out but Innersloth has given us a glimpse of what’s to come.

Other additions and upcoming news include:
- Support for new languages incoming: French, Italian, German, Spanish EU and LA, Dutch, Russian, BR and EU Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino (Bisaya)
- Account creation will soon be possible letting you add friends and play with them as well as help Innersloth moderate the game by reporting suspicious players and hackers
- Balance changes:
- Comms sabotage hides task arrows
- Comms red light no longer immediately responds to the correct position
- Bug fixes:
- Fixed camera flinging on security cams
- Fixed inaccurate admin table on Polus
- Fixed Polus panels reachable through walls
- Fixed temperature mini-game in Polus for iOS
- Fix solo-complete reactor/seismic exploit
- Fix align engine exploit and soft lock
Besides the aforementioned updates and news, Innersloth has also revealed that their popular game has also been nominated for two awards for The Game Awards – Best Multiplayer and Best Mobile Game.
November 4, 2020: Innersloth has released a small update to Among Us that adds a handful of tiny additions to the game that help you play it better. There are no major changes in the gameplay whatsoever but the developers have revealed that they’re continuing to iron out anti-hacks and bug fixes. Besides that, here are the changes available in the latest version of Among Us:
- Anonymous Voting option (All votes appear as grey)
- New Task Bar Modes
- Always mode works like normal
- Meeting mode only updates the bar during meetings
- Invisible mode removes the taskbar entirely
- Comms sabotage in MIRA clears the security logs as well
- New symbols available for fix wires task
- The meeting screen gets a cosmetic update
Innersloth has also provided a rough set of upcoming features to the game, although an accurate roadmap isn’t available at the moment. These include:
- A new map based on Henry Stickmin, larger than Polus with new tasks, available for free for everyone
- Accounts for everyone so you can add friends and report those that are toxic and/or hacking
- Colorblind support
- Translations/Localization: Support for multiple languages and professional translations
