Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has returned with some titillating side-quests and romances. As a player, you can indulge in a range of romances to spice up Eivor’s life. This includes having flings, flirtatious one-offs, romantic love affairs, and even stable relationships.
As Eivor can be played both as male and female, there’s a lot to explore in this facet of the game alone, regardless of whichever way one swings.
Though most of these romances are harmless and benign, there is always that one romance that can have far-reaching consequences (true story). Being with Randvi is exactly that romance that you should avoid, at least in the early game. Here is why.
Should You Sleep With Randvi?
Who is Randvi, again? The wife of your foster brother Sigurd. Right. Now that’s awkward territory through and through.
She is introduced early in the game and joins the Vikings who are on their way to conquer England. By conversing with Randvi, we find that she was married to Sigurd for the sake of keeping two Viking clans together.
As Sigurd had spent a lot of time away on conquests, she was left all alone and she doesn’t have much of an emotional connection with her husband.
Understandably then, we have to step in. But to be able to do so, you will need to have a level 3 settlement. But bedding your brother’s wife shouldn’t be taken as lightly as it sounds, especially considering that you’re going to get on Sigurd’s bad books for it.
Randvi romance consequences
First up, even though the option of mating with Randvi becomes available early on, you shouldn’t make the move just yet.
Doing so means that you’re betraying your brother, and you’ll receive a Sigurd strike. Get three Sigurd strikes and you’ll end up triggering the Bad Ending.
There’s a lot of fish in the sea that you can bed. So stop striking out and take your libido elsewhere.
If you break up with Randvi after the first encounter, your actions won’t count as a Sigurd Strike and nudge you towards the Good Ending.
What’s more, if you’d rather not betray Sigurd, all you have to do is wait for the story to progress as the couple will end up separating down the line (40 hours into the story).
When that happens, you can put your charming looks to work again and get back Randvi in no time.
