Who is Voice Actor for Paimon?
Paimon is played by the Japanese voice actress Aoi Koga. She is 27 years old and hails from the Saga prefecture in Japan. Aoi has been a huge anime fan since her childhood which prompted her to pursue voice acting. She was a huge fan of Cardcaptor Sakura and Ojamajo Doremi during her growing years.
Aoi has been a part of numerous shows and movies over the years and her most prominent roles include Sora Kaneshiro from angel’s 3Piece, Yuyri Miyata in Two car, and Kaguya Shinomiya in Kaguya-sama: Love is war. You might also know her as Momoko Ogi in Beyblade Burst, Maria Amabuki in Zombie Saga, or as Gabriela from Thomas and friends.

What’s the gender of Paimon?
Paimon is a female NPC in Genshin Impact that follows you around and will act as your guide for the continent of Teyvat. She enters the story as a character saved by you from a lake that she was about to drown in. As you saved her life, she is prompted to accompany you on your adventures through Teyvat.
Her character is quirky and a little too honest which makes her comes off as rude during certain conversations. As an NPC, Paimon lacks the ability to swim in-game which is why you might spot her floating above water in such scenarios. She is also a food connoisseur and loves food.
She will often give you vital about every food item you come across in Genshin Impact. It has also been hinted in the game that Paimon might be a creature with two stomachs where both have different functions: one is for digesting solids while the other one is for digesting liquids.
Is Paimon Emergency Food?
Funnily yes, Paimon has been dubbed as ‘Emergency Food’ in the Genshin Impact community. This is because of a long-standing tradition in all miHoYo games where one of the NPCs is referred to as food regularly.
This is a running gag where the NPC gets increasingly annoyed as he/she is referred to as food throughout the entire game. a good example of this would be miHoYo’s earlier release, Honkai Impact where Al-chan was at the receiving end of this gag. Her hair buns could be apparently used as cabbage which is a food source in the game.
How Old is Paimon?
This is where things get tricky. Paimon’s official birthday in the game is the 1st of June every year. Sadly her character seems to suffer from some kind of amnesia in the game which is why it becomes difficult to narrow down on her age.
Moreover, the lore around Paimon suggests that she could be an elf. You can discover this yourself by talking to an NPC in the Wangshu Inn. On the other hand, the origin of her name and her abilities lead many to speculate that she could be a lesser-known god of Teyvat suffering from amnesia that might have forgotten the other gods.
For now, there is a lot of speculation surrounding her backstory and her age so we can’t be sure of her age just yet.
