Follow the Wangxiao Cake preparations
The group is making Wangxiao Cakes. A letter from Xiangling prompted Yaoyao and Qiqi to bring Glaze Lilies from Qingce Village to the stall. The tea leaves have already arrived.
Attention turns to the filling. Escoffier devised the recipe for the Wangxiao Cakes, whose filling calls for Glaze Lilies and excellent tea leaves; Xiangling will handle the specialized baking technique, which differs from baking ordinary cakes. Lu Xiangxiang brings premium raw tea leaves from Chenyu Vale. Shevirme and Freda are also part of the conversation. Spices shipped from Sumeru and alchemical equipment are available.
Once the filling work begins, extracting Glaze Lily nectar goes smoothly. The raw tea leaves are harder: roasting and steeping would make tea, but Escoffier needs a particular flavor compound from the raw leaves, which the alchemical setup cannot isolate. A centrifuge is proposed. Shenhe then produces the pure extract and reveals that she used Escoffier’s centrifuge, turning it by hand to compensate for its slow rotation. With the ingredients ready, Escoffier takes charge of the filling.
While Escoffier works, Five-Nut Wangxiao Cakes are discussed. They are sold at the market. Baking practice is planned, and they invite the Traveler and Paimon to taste their work.
