What is the Zombie mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War?
The Zombie mode in Black Ops Cold War allows you to shoot and try to kill the undead. Standing side by side with your friends — four users total — your aim is to fend off the Zombie waves that emerge from an abandoned World War II Nazi den.
The main campaign is called “Die Maschine” (The Machine) and is centered around the aforementioned Nazi bunker, which happens to be radioactive. A Russian troop accidentally let the Zombies loose, and, now, it’s up to you and your team to clean up the mess, 6 years later.

Is the Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Zombie mode free?
Traditionally, almost all post-launch stuff — new maps, levels, weapons, game modes — comes with strings attached. Users are usually asked to put in their card details once again, spend some money to get access to the shiny new bling.
Developers, Activision and Treyarch, however, have decided to take a new route with the new Zombies mode this time around. The studios have confirmed that the Zombie mode in the latest Call of Duty game will always remain free. This means that every time a new map, weapon, or skin comes out, Call of Duty Black Ops users would be able to get it for free.
How to get the Zombie mode in Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War?
The Zombie Mode in Cold War comes as a part of the package. All you have to do is buy either the Standard or Ultimate edition of the game and you’ll see the Zombie mode in-game.
Please note that there isn’t a free, standalone Cold War Zombie game. You’ll have to buy the game and access the Zombie mode through it. All post-launch content in the Zombie game will be completely free, meaning you won’t have to look for your wallet every time a new map comes out.
