A few weeks ago we saw the Moto Z Droid and Droid Force (US Edition) get the update to Nougat (build number: NCL25.86-11) and now we have news of the international update being released. The above screenshot shows that the Chinese variant of the Moto Z — global edition, outside US — is also up to taste the Nougat update pretty soon.
The expected release date of the Moto Z Android 7.0 update is said to be around Christmas, which basically means anytime in last week of December.
The rollout for the international variant was expected too with the US Droid version getting it. In fact, ever since Motorola began soak testing the Verizon Moto Z Droid Nougat update. Motorola looks to be keeping up with its reputation of delivering updates on time.
Other OEMs are also showing progress with the update to Nougat. OnePlus has started beta testing for the OnePlus 3 Nougat update. The official rollout to Nougat is expected to be arriving around the end of this month. Head over to our download page to get started with downloading and installing Nougat beta for the OnePlus 3.
Sony has also started officially rolling out the Nougat OTA for the Xperia XZ. Sony too had been beta testing too for a long time. LG bested everyone else and was first to release a stable OTA update to Nougat for the G5. Today, Verizon G5 received the Nougat update too, while other major ones except AT&T had already released the 7.0 OTA. For other LG devices, the CM14 remains a good alternative to check out Android 7.0 Nougat update unofficially.
