What to know

  • The first Festival Playlist (“Welcome to Japan”) starts on May 21, 2026.
  • You still need to unlock Horizon Festival access by earning the Yellow Wristband.
  • The Playlist becomes available after roughly 1 hour of gameplay progression.
  • Series 1 includes 10 reward cars and seasonal weekly events.

A lot of players were confused during early access of Forza Horizon 6 because the Festival Playlist menu existed in-game before any actual seasonal content was live. Playground Games has now confirmed that the first real Festival Playlist season, called “Welcome to Japan,” officially begins on May 21, 2026.

That means even players who started during Premium Edition early access could not fully participate in Playlist activities immediately.
