Myth and mystery are an essential part of the entire AC Valhalla experience. When one observes the incorporation of language, history, and most importantly, cultural references, the game is an authentic ode to the Vikings and their incursions in old England.
So on the one hand, you have the Norse artifact, Thor’s hammer Mjolnir and then you are introduced to King Arthur’s much-famed Excalibur.
In AC Valhalla, the Excalibur is a myth turned into reality, waiting to be acquired by Eivor in an attempt to become England’s most powerful. This sword carries tremendous power and is the most powerful weapon in the entire game.

Here’s everything you need to know about Excalibur’s location and how to get the sword.
What you need to get the Excalibur in AC Valhalla
True to the nature of the myth, the Excalibur requires a long and arduous quest that must be undertaken by Eivor. 11 Treasures of Britain tablets have been scattered across England and must be collected as part of this quest.
Of the 11, 8 tablets can be acquired from within caves in specific locations across the game while the remaining 3 tablets require Eivor to fight and defeat zealots of varying power levels.
Once you have acquired all the tablets, you need to travel to Stonehenge where you will be able to acquire the Excalibur from within a cave.

Locations of the Treasures of Britain tablets
There are eight Treasures of Britain tablets that require almost Unchateredesque agility and exploration on Eivor’s part to get the tablets. You don’t have to be of a certain power level to be able to do this even if the region in which the tablet is located might indicate otherwise.
You won’t be fighting anyone (at least humans) to get these tablets which is why you should be fine regardless of the level. This quest is strictly adventurous.
Grimes Graves Tablet Location
The Grimes Graves treasure is fairly easy to acquire. It’s located on the southwest side of Brisleah Farm in the East Anglia territory.
Eivor will face three passages once they take the leap of faith and some major parkouring, two of these passages have treasures while the third one will lead you to a room with pots. You must break these pots so that the tablet will reveal itself.

Old Cellar Tablet Location
A little south-east of Colcestre in Essexe harbors the cave that leads to the Old Cellar Tablet. There will be a narrow passageway involved and some amount of jumping and climbing as well.
You will eventually find yourself in an old wine cellar that will have multiple barrels. Shoot your arrow at the red spots of the barrel to allow the wine to fill the central grate. When it’s filled enough, you will be able to collect the Old Cellar/Horn Tablet.
Cavern of Trials Location
The Cavern of trials is located in a small house towards the east side of Cent. One of the longest cave systems to maneuver, it will require all of Eivor’s dexterity and parkour skills to navigate the rocks, edges, and underground cave system.
There are two keys that you need to keep an eye out for using Odin Sight, the key of Agility, and the key of Dexterity. Once you have these keys, keep moving through the cave till you arrive at the boulder that is home to the Cavern of Trails tablet.
Santlacne Mine Tablet Location
Look for the entrance of the Santlacne Mine which is located in Suthsexe and just southwest of Cent. Like in the case of the other caves, make sure that you are loaded with arrows for the barrels that you will encounter in this mine.
Break the lock on the extension ladder and make your way to the room that is filled with water. You will have to dive into the water and swim underwater till you can emerge in the room with the waterfall. The Santlacne Mine tablet will be nestled on a stone top between the waterfall.
Wiccan’s Cave Tablet Location
Travel to the west of Jorvik in Eurvicscire territory till you arrive at the snowy entrance of the cave. Be careful inside the cave as things will get slippery and you need to make sure there is a proper ledge or support before you move ahead.
Once you reach the barred door, look for the window that will give you access to the lock of the door. Shoot your arrows to access the back room. You also need to prepare for a fight before you enter.
In the left chamber, there are two massive wild boars and in the right one, there is a flock of angry chickens who will leap at you. Once you clear the path and unlock the middle door enter the room to claim the Wiccan’s Cave tablet.
Deoraby Spar Cavern Tablet Location
To get to this particular tablet, make your way to the Snotinghamscire which is located in the northeast of Hemthorpe. You will need to navigate through a bunch of statues to reach the final room. Once you’ve made it to the room, go to the altar on which the tablet rests to collect it.
Red Lichen Cavern Tablet Location
Located in a small hill east of Wincetre in Hamtunscire, the Red Lichen Cavern is fairly laidback as long as you have your trusty torch with you. This cavern is filled with a green poisonous gas that you need to dispel by throwing the torch.
Even the tablet is sitting in a cloud of green poison which you need to remain wary of. Throw your torch here as well and collect the Red Lichen tablet once the poison clears away.
Wocig Tablet Location
Travel to the west of Hamtunscire to reach the final tablet in your Excalibur quest. Once you enter the Canyon and reach the boat, you can either board it or look around for more treasures.
The boat will stop at a barrier, from this point on, you need to swim and travel on foot. Once you reach the darkroom with a bunch of pots, blow them up to reveal a secret room. The Wocig tablet will be here.
How to tackle the Zealots
To begin with, these zealots are quite formidable adversaries. They are practically built like battle tanks, except for Wuffa. She is a swift warrior, but it’s the job of a Viking to eat such warriors for breakfast. You are looking for Woden, Heike, and Hrothgar. You can find their locations below.
Heike Location
You will find Heike cruising around on a horse on the Essexe roads. While Heike is cruising on his horse, he is vulnerable to surprise attacks, a barrage of quick attacks should render him weak. Your weapons will do the rest.
Woden Location
Just like Heike, Woden is mounted on a horse which exposes him to a surprise attack. Collect the tablet after defeating him.
Hrothgar Location
Hrothgar is a hulking giant who roams on foot. His attacks are devastating but easy to avoid. Make use of that. That’s how David took down Goliath.
Myrdinn’s Cave
Once you have acquired all 11 tablets, you can go to Myrdinn’s cave and claim the Excalibur sword for its hidden location.
Get to Stonehenge in Hamtunscire and head towards the entrance of Myrdinn’s Cave.
Navigate your way through the labyrinth till you find twelve pillars. One of them is glowing because it has already been united with the tablet. Place all the tablets and savor the big moment. The moment you pull the legendary sword out of the stone, you know you have done it.
Special Tip: If you have the heavy dual wield skill unlocked, you can equip the Excalibur in one hand, and the Mjolnir in the other. This makes you an unstoppable beast in combat. Let’s just say that if enemies see you approaching with these two weapons unsheathed, they’d best stay away.
Do savor the lovely feeling of having acquired this powerful and amazing weapon in AC Valhalla. Happy Gaming!
