It’s rare that in a game like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you’re made to feel like a rogue sleuth — like The Batman in those WB games, detecting and solving crimes from traces around him.
Yet, that’s exactly what the devs are gonna put you through when you take this quest on. And let us tell you, it is one of the best suspense-filled moments Valhalla’s offered up as of yet.
Before you can conclude anything, there’s the matter of deducing and confirming certain things in this quest that you should really experience on your own. Here’s how you can deal with the identity of the Vault in Valhalla, along with what comes next.

Where to Investigate for the Vault’s Identity
Heading over to the Royal Hall of Jorvik after completing ‘Burning the Firebrand’ and ‘Pricking the Needle’ quests, you’ll be prompted to begin the quest ‘Closing the Vault’.
So by this part of the quest, you’d have realized that the ‘Vault’ in question isn’t really an actual vault, unlike what the wordplay on the Quest’s title suggests. To get started, head on over to Jorvik’s Archives in the vicinity.
Read the note left for the Silversmith by Hjorr. You’ll realize that Hjorr actually has a lot of silver lying around in his coffers.
Next, get up on the desk and shoot the wooden plank in front of you and head in. Use Odin’s sight, then interact with the jug lying on the boxes and Eivor will exclaim that the place was used to store Wine and that it was moved to someplace else in a hurry.

Who should you accuse as the Vault in AC Valhalla?
Now that you’re done with investigating Jorvik’s archives, head on over to the Yuletide feast. Go into the Amphitheater and speak with Ljufvina.
You’ll realize that the suspects are all part of the Jorvik council, as indicated by the quest briefings. Next, you’ll need to go around talking with one of the people here you suspect to be the Vault. In order to do so, walk around with Odin’s sight and speak with people of interest in the theatre.
Once that’s done, head back to Ljufvina. She’ll ask if you’ve gathered all the details you need for you to confidently accuse someone of being the Vault in question. If you’ve been paying attention to all that’s happened till now, you’ll know exactly which one to choose from the options she’ll give next.
It is Audun! The right option to pick and thus, the person to accuse as the Vault is Audun. No sooner though you come to this conclusion, a cutscene breaks out showing that you were too late to apprehend the Vault.
That’s alright though since there’s nothing you can do differently to prevent this outcome. We’ll not spoil what happens for you next, only to give you a heads up: You’ll need to assassinate the guy!
After this, head outside of the theatre and into the market. Use your Odin sight to locate Ljufvina and interact with her. She’ll inform you of all that’s transpired after that incident with Audun. Simply follow her back to the Royal Hall and you’ll finish the quest ‘Closing the Vault’.
Though AC Valhalla does have different choices and consequences in some sections of its Storyline, this clearly isn’t one of those occasions. We hope that this helps in figuring out what to do when playing this Quest in Jorvik.
