Survive Iceveil Valley by equipping the Yeti Demon’s Emberheart Lantern and charging it beside a campfire for up to 10 minutes of cold immunity.
Iceveil Valley’s cold deals repeated tick damage. The frozen Yeti boss supplies the Emberheart Lantern. Once its ember finishes burning, rekindle it beside a campfire to get your protection back. Watch the UI gauge instead of guessing how much protection you have left.
Iceveil Valley cold protection and quest levels
Lynx sells snow gear at the Winter Store that passively reduces freezing damage. It helps during long open crossings and when your lantern timer is low, but it doesn’t grant full immunity. Cold resistance buys breathing room.
The region’s progression generally falls around levels 90–145. High Demon quests begin at 90, Iceveil Guard Shiro offers a supply quest, and Demon Slayer Mitsu has jobs at 105 and 115.
Cold protection and combat readiness are separate preparations. Stopping the snow damage still leaves the Yeti itself to deal with, so bring enough combat strength for the encounter or arrange help.
Frozen Heart sources and the Hoyuzo farm
The Frozen Heart is an Epic item. You can view it through Inventory and look up its acquisition sources in Archives.
Frozen Heart acquisition options
The Sickle Reaper Hoyuzo in Bamboo Grove provides a boss-farming option because Hoyuzo can drop a Rare Chest.
Expect to repeat victories and open the reward chests until you get the heart. The Frozen Heart probability belongs to the chest opening, not directly to each Hoyuzo kill, so a boss victory doesn’t guarantee progress beyond another chance at the relevant reward.
Reach the Yeti from Butterfly Estate
The Yeti Demon, also labeled Ancient Frost Demon, waits frozen inside a giant ice block in The White Terror Lair. Butterfly Estate is the starting landmark for the approach. You may need 15,000 Wen to unlock its shrine for fast travel.

Defeat Yeti and collect its rewards
Low-level characters may die repeatedly during this fight. The optional Set Spawn Point game pass lets you respawn nearby and return to damaging the boss; fighting with a group is another approach if you don’t have the pass.
Keep clear of the red area indicators and evade Yeti’s ice slams and area attacks. Sword combinations can deal damage, but watch for the small yetis that join the battle.
A victory awards 2,025 EXP, 400 Wen, and a World Events Chest. The Emberheart Lantern is a separate drop with a 25% chance, so you may need several victories before obtaining it. A chest reward doesn’t mean the lantern also dropped.

Maintain lantern protection while exploring
When the lantern’s ember burns out, rekindle it beside a campfire. Before heading away from a hub, identify a nearby fire and its return route so your trip includes a way to renew protection.
Plan quests around the actual time remaining on the HUD. Long escort and fetch trips can outlast your protection, so allow for the journey back instead of spending the entire charge reaching the objective.
Once you own the lantern, equip and charge it before subsequent Iceveil boss runs, then use campfires between encounters to replenish protection.
