To get a horse in Slayers 2, find a wild horse, complete its taming minigame, and confirm the 15,000 Wen purchase.
You can start taming before you have enough money, but finishing the minigame alone won’t secure the horse. The purchase still needs the full amount.
Prepare the horse payment
Save 15,000 Wen before heading out so you can afford the purchase when you reach it. Ginzo’s delivery quests run from Mistfall Harbor to Hidden Mist Village and can help fund your horse. Selling junk drops and coin pouches to merchants also adds to your balance.
Where to find wild horses
Horses roam the wilderness around towns in Ouwland; shopkeepers don’t sell them. Search areas include Windy Path, where the upper-right minimap identifies the location and a horse encounter takes place on grassy ground near rocky cliffs. Bamboo Grove and Windy Peak are also places to look.
Watch the in-game chat for spawn announcements, then head toward the town area named in the message. Spawns follow a roughly 30-minute cycle, so missing an announcement can delay your search. Horses don’t despawn quickly, giving you time to travel from elsewhere on the map.
How to find and tame your horse
With the purchase money ready, find a horse and work through its timing minigame.
STEP 1/5
Leave the village
Head into the wilderness outside the village and look for a wild horse.
STEP 2/5
Start taming

Approach the horse and press T at the Horse / [T] Tame prompt to mount it and begin the minigame. An Exit button sits below the taming gauge.
STEP 3/5
Hit the circular targets

A failed attempt costs 10 HP and can throw you off the horse. Click the white circular targets appearing around it to raise the taming percentage bar at the bottom of the screen.
STEP 4/5
Retry after a failed attempt
If you’re thrown off, mount the horse again to restart taming. You can keep trying while you remain alive.
STEP 5/5
Fill the taming gauge

Keep landing the timing clicks until the gauge reaches 100%, completing the minigame and reaching the purchase stage.
Complete the purchase and resolve a Wen shortage
At the purchase prompt, confirm the payment to claim your horse as a personal mount. This is a direct purchase after taming, not a horse quest reward. Mounts are usable in the launch build, and you can ride yours for faster travel and money-making runs.
If your balance falls short, the purchase fails and a notification tells you the additional Wen needed. A message asking for 14,675 more describes the shortfall for that balance, not a different horse price. Earn the missing amount before attempting the purchase again.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does purchasing a horse give permanent ownership?
The purchased horse appears to be a permanent mount. That qualification doesn’t guarantee persistence through death, server changes, or later sessions.
How do you unlock fast travel?
Complete the Book of Guidance quest in the starter village of Windy Peak to unlock fast travel through the world map. This separate travel option costs resources and serves the connected world of villages, cities, forests, and mountains.
