Prepare for Muzan’s invitation and the doctor’s cliff
In Windy Peak, the starter village, defeat NPCs named Civilian without stars beside their names. Each defeat removes one reputation; starred civilians belong to quest missions.
Reach Muzan’s invitation

Dialogue appears at negative-reputation increments of 10. At -40 reputation, Muzan’s message says, “Find me at nightfall.” That invitation is your signal to seek him out.
Unlock the movement skills

These skills let you reach Dr. Higoshima’s elevated location later. If you need experience, Krue’s Defeat 3 Bandits quest is available at spawn from level 1.
Keep unrelated mission leveling light if you want to convert early. Level 4 is the movement-skill milestone for this approach, so you can focus on the transformation once those skills are ready.
Slayer NPCs also lower reputation when defeated. You can find them in the snowy area reached by heading left from the bears, but that alternative calls for enough combat strength to fight Slayers repeatedly.
Arrange optional protection from sunlight
If you don’t have Kamado, an optional delivery detour can prepare you for daylight after transforming. Find MoldySugar, the pink-haired NPC holding a pitchfork near a house in Windy Peak, and complete his delivery quest to gain access to the rotating clothing shop in Mistfall Harbor.
The shop changes stock every hour, and a Sun Hat can appear in its rotation. Wearing one prevents daylight burning, but each restock isn’t a guaranteed hat. You can skip this detour and continue lowering your reputation, then use shade while waiting for night after becoming a demon.
Black Amigasa also provides protection against sunlight.
Find Muzan at night and enter his domain
Search after receiving the invitation, during nighttime. Muzan may have four spawn locations in total; Mistfall Harbor and Iceveil Valley give you two routes to work between, with Hidden Mist Village another search location.
Iceveil Valley’s cold continuously damages you, even while you stand still. Consider your health before taking the snowy branch. If you miss Muzan’s nighttime appearance, the quest can be delayed by an entire in-game day.
Take the Mistfall Harbor branch
Leave Windy Peak’s gate toward the river and follow the rocky path past bamboo and red torii gates. Drop into Bamboo Grove near the bears, cross the stone bridge beside the lanterns and enter the harbor through its large red gate. The harbor sits near the beginner village in the map’s bottom-right area; from the bears, the compass direction toward it is north.
Search the harbor’s patrol area

Look along Mistfall Harbor’s main dirt road and upper steps. Muzan walks back and forth through this area, so search along the path instead of watching only one spot.
Take the Iceveil Valley branch
Starting from the bears, take the leftward approach into the snow and climb the steep stone path through red torii gates. In Iceveil Valley, search the snowy slopes, wooden buildings and stone ramp around the Domae area, where Muzan patrols back and forth.

Reach Hidden Mist Village by entering the mist area; the village is another place to search for Muzan.
Choose a search loop
Set your spawn in Iceveil Valley, travel to the harbor and reset back to the snowy spawn if Muzan is absent. To avoid cold damage, set your spawn in Mistfall Harbor instead and server-hop to search there at night.
Allow time for a nighttime appearance
Spend roughly five minutes checking between the harbor and valley if you use the two-area loop. Muzan may not appear immediately at nightfall; this is a search window, not a guaranteed spawn timer. A Muzan tracker is also available to buy.

Accept Muzan’s offer
Speak to Muzan after his invitation and accept his offer to receive the Biwa Bell.
Enter Muzan’s domain
Use the Biwa Bell to travel to Muzan’s domain, the hub for your demon progression.
Collect nine Spider Lilies for Muzan
Muzan Quest 1/2 contains both the Spider Lily collection and Dr. Higoshima delivery objectives. Both must be completed, but collecting flowers first isn’t an extra requirement for capturing the doctor.
In public servers, other players can pick up the flowers before you arrive. An available private or VIP server reduces that competition; server hopping is another option when the spawns have been picked clean.
Identify the flowers
Search for glowing blue flowers with the Spider Lily pickup prompt. Collect nine, watching the quest counter update after each pickup.
Sweep Bamboo Grove’s landward spots
Check the fields and grass, around trees and forest, beside paths and near the house. Flowers can spawn across these parts of Bamboo Grove.

Follow the water edges
Search the riverbank, shoreline and edges of the water for more flowers. Stone platforms near a wooden bridge provide a way across part of the search area.
Check the higher ground
Search the grassy hill and the cliff edge overlooking Mistfall Harbor. The main dirt road is another traversal landmark through Bamboo Grove.
Expand to Water Training
Search the Water Training area if you still need flowers. There are more than six spawn points overall, so keep searching beyond the local Bamboo Grove spots until the objective is complete.
Deliver Dr. Higoshima and drink Muzan’s Blood
The doctor waits on a mountain cliff ledge. Grabbing him causes Slayers to spawn and chase you, so expect pursuit once the capture begins; defeating those pursuers is optional for the delivery objective.
Reach and capture Dr. Higoshima
Use Double Jump and Wall Climb to scale the cliff, then interact with Dr. Higoshima to capture him.
Deliver the doctor to Muzan
Bring Dr. Higoshima to Muzan to fulfill the delivery objective.
Use the transformation reward
With both the doctor and flower objectives complete, obtain Muzan’s Blood and use the item to drink it. Confirm that your character has transformed before moving on to demon abilities.

Roll your first Blood Demon Art
After transforming, use the Biwa Bell to return to Muzan’s domain and roll your first Evil Art, also called a Blood Demon Art. These are themed demon ability kits, while the Slayer path uses Breathing Styles.
The launch build offers nine Blood Demon Arts across seven weapons, giving you several kits to develop around your preferred combat role. Your clan matters too: its passives can complement your demon build, and spins earned through codes and milestones give you opportunities to work toward a setup you enjoy.
Raise Demon Progress with souls
Press M on your keyboard, then select Player Info / Progression to check your Demon Progress. It starts at level 1, and each level gives you bonus stats until you reach level 4, displayed as “Lv 4 {Max}”. It’s separate from your character level.
Maximum Demon Progress stat bonuses
| Stat | Demon Progress level 4 bonus |
|---|---|
| Max Health | +100 |
| Max Health Factor | +0.08 |
| Evil Art Damage Factor | +0.04 |
| Additional Damage | +2 |
Head to Bamboo Grove to farm Bear Cubs for Weak Souls and Mother Bear for Strong Souls, then collect the souls they drop. After defeating a Bear Cub, you pick up its Weak Soul; you can also gather multiple Weak Souls from the ground and collect a Strong Soul from Mother Bear. World-drop bosses give 25 toward demon progression, and Oari is one of those bosses. Once you’re maxed, collected weak souls stop adding progress.

Soul rewards and enemy respawns
| Enemy | Soul reward and respawn |
|---|---|
| Bear Cub | Weak Soul; +5 Demon Progress; approximately 20-second respawn. |
| Mother Bear | Strong Soul; +15 Demon Progress; approximately two-minute respawn. |
| World-drop bosses such as Obari | +25 Demon Progress. |
For faster soul farming, open the shop and turn on the optional 2x-soul boost, or times two soul. If you already have access to a private server, use it for the bear farm.
Get your weapons, V2 upgrades and other drops sorted before settling into dedicated soul farming. You can come back around character levels 100–150. That’s suggested timing, not a requirement to unlock Demon Progress.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Muzan’s Blood fail, and do the original Project Slayers instructions apply?
Slayers 2 guarantees the transformation when you complete Muzan’s quest and use the blood reward. The level-15 requirement, five-flower objective, 75% success chance and Zapiwara Cave progression advice belong to the original Project Slayers, which uses different demon requirements.
