It’s been literally months since the first LG V30 received Android Oreo, but those in Italy have had to wait this long before joining the party. The long wait is finally over as LG Italia has now announced that Oreo is rolling out to V30 users in the European country.
Unlike early recipients of the new OS, LG V30 users in Italy not only get all Oreo goodies, but they also get the company’s ThinQ artificial intelligence features that debuted with the LG V30S ThinQ at the MWC 2018.

This is a nice gesture from LG after making Italians wait for months before getting Oreo on their V30 handsets. The update is rolling out to Vodafone and unlocked handsets sold in Italy while those on other carriers will join the fun sooner than later.
We expect that markets where LG had already rolled out Android Oreo to the V30 before the official debut of ThinQ will also receive updates that add LG’s AI features to the phone.
