Is Paramount Plus included with Amazon Prime?

From standing in queues to watch our favorite movies to streaming a blockbuster in the middle of our living room in the middle of the night, the norms of content consumption have changed drastically over the last few years. Netflix was the Lightbringer, of course, but now, many other prominent players have joined the cult, hoping to deliver a fine blend of entertainment to everyone who seeks it.

Today, we’ll talk about another new streaming service on the block — Paramount Plus — and tell you whether/how you could watch it on Amazon Prime.

Is Paramount Plus Included with Prime Video?

Amazon Prime Video is the e-commerce giant’s streaming wing, offering a bunch of solid shows, movies, and original content to all Amazon Prime users. By default, you get Amazon’s original shows, movies, and some free-to-view content. However, if you’re looking to get more exclusive stuff, you’ll need to shell out extra bucks for Prime Video Channels.

This new streaming service, Paramount Plus, is indeed available on Amazon Prime Video, but only as a paid channel. If you wish to watch all of CBS’s great offerings and more, you’ll need to subscribe to the Paramount Plus channel separately.

How much does Paramount Plus cost on Prime Video?

Amazon takes great pride in undercutting most of its competitors, offering the best price one could hope for. However, when it comes to Prime Video Channels, you’re better off sticking to other services or going through the official channels. Since Prime Video Channels never offer any discounts — unlike official sources, at times — you’ll probably end up paying more than usual to avail the services.

Currently, as of March 2021, you can get Paramount Plus for either $5.99/month for the standard version or $9.99/month for the ad-free one. However, starting from June, you’d be able to get the standard, ad-supported version for $4.99/month. There will be no changes to the premium plan.

How to Subscribe to Paramount Plus

Paramount Plus is a new streaming service, which happens to be already listed on the Amazon Prime Video Channels list.

To subscribe to the Channel, first, go to Amazon.com and sign in with your username and password. Now, click on the ‘Your Accounts’ section and go to ‘Your Prime Video.’ Then, go to ‘Channels’ and expand the list. Finally, pick Paramount Plus and start your trial. After the trial period ends, you’ll be charged either $5.99 or $9.99 per month.

Will CBS All Access subscribers get Paramount Plus for free?

CBS All Access used to offer all of CBS’s greatest shows, movies, and pretty much everything you could ask for from the likes of BET, Comedy Central, MTV, Smithsonian Channel, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, and more. Now, CBS is going all out in its endeavor to dazzle you, rebranding CBS All Access as Paramount Plus and offering a lot more original, exclusive show for the same price.

Since Paramount Plus is nothing but a rebranded and upgraded version of CBS All Access, all CBS All Access subscribers are getting a free bump up to the new streaming service. So, if you’re concerned whether you’d have to pay extra to get Paramount Plus, rest assured that CBS has got you covered.

Is Paramount Plus available on Amazon Fire TV?

Like CBS All Access, Paramount Plus is also available on all leading platforms and devices. Since Amazon’s very own Fire TV is one of the most popular streaming devices on the planet, Paramount Plus was readily wrapped up and published on the Fire TV app store. If you have an Amazon Fire TV and wish to browse through the dense library of Paramount Plus, all you have to do is download the app, log in, and start binging.

  1. I have Amazon Firestick TV, subscribed thru Amazon to get Paramount with no commercials. However, I can’t seem to watch Yellowstone without paying for it. Can that be right?

    1. I found that Yellowstone isn’t even on Paramount+ either. ( I realized that I wasn’t getting the full library through Amazon Prime, so I subscribed to P+ to find out.)
Apparently, it’s just on the Paramount cable network.

      1. I think that’s correct. Yellowstone is on the Paramount Channel. If you want to get 1883 you have to subscribe to Paramount Plus. 😊

  2. I got Paramount+ and couldn’t find YellowStone. I found it on The Peacock channel. $4.99.
Some how through corporate wrangling The Peacock got Yellowstone.

    1. The deal for Peacock to air Season 1 thru 3 of Yellowstone was made before Viacom and CBS merged. They could not get out of the deal which is unfortunate.

  3. I got the 4.99 app and it wants to know who my provider is. I don’t have a provider that’s the reason for streaming is to cut costs. Why do I need a provider. This seems to be a rip off as I already have Prime which gives you paramount plus for free. So what is the purpose of the Essential package? I’m really disappointed.

  4. Is Paramount plus free with Amazon prime and Amazon FIRESTICK!! Does it have all episodes of Yellowstone?

  5. Can an existing Paramount account be linked to the prime account? I am only seeing the option to sign up for a new account.
