Huawei Watch Android Wear 2.0 update releases for beta users

Huawei Watch is receiving the much awaited Android Wear 2.0 update. So, if you own this smartwatch you are definitely in for a treat because the Android Wear 2.0 brings with it a lot of cool features.

However, the update as of now is being rolled out first to those who are on the latest developer preview, that is the users who already have got the beta Android Wear 2.0 update. Only after getting confirmation that the roll out has been completed successfully without any issues will Huawei push it to other users as a stable build.

Notably, this first Android Wear smartwatch from Huawei was one of the few smartwatches to have been in the Android Wear 2.0 Developer Preview. So, it will be interesting to see how the stable build roll out fares. All the Huawei Watch variants viz Classic, Women, and Standard will be getting the update eventually.

With the Android Wear 2.0, the Huawei smartwatch is getting a host of new features which include a native Play Store app which will let you download smartwatch specific apps. Also, now you can run apps directly from the smartwatch instead of having to rely on Bluetooth tethering thanks to better WiFi capabilities brought by the Android Wear 2.0. Other features include Google Assistant, improved messaging, an on-screen keyboard and more.
