May 01, 2019: The latest May 2019 security patch is already available for the Mate 10 Pro in China as EMUI 9.0.0.187. The update is airborne and thus will take some days before all units get the download notification.
The Chinese variants of the Mate 10 Pro have model numbers BLA-AL00 and BLA-TL00.
March 30, 2019: Huawei has started testing EMUI 9.0.1 beta based on Pie in China. So far, the device has had access to EMUI 9.0.0, but this is changing for the select users who had applied a week ago. The OTA is arriving as version 9.0.1.107.
The update os targeting models BLA-AL00 and BLA-TL00 of the Mate 10 Pro, but this version is also expected on the global and U.S. variants at some point in Q2 2019, albeit as a stable version. To qualify for the OTA, you must have updated your device to the most recent version, which is EMUI 9.0.0.182.
March 16, 2019: Huawei Mate 10 Pro users in China have a new EMUI update rolling out with version 9.0.0.182, installing a new security patch for February 2019. The update is available for models BLA-AL00 and BLA-TL00 and further includes bug fixes and system-wide performance optimizations.
March 01, 2019: After months of waiting, it appears that users of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro in the U.S. are receiving a new update that installs Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0 on top. The update, which is arriving as EMUI 9.0.0.201 (C567E6R1P11), has been reported by several users of the device with model number BLA-A09, so if you still haven’t received it yet, try forcing it via the settings menu.

Huawei started rolling out the stable update to Android 9 Pie for users of the Mate 10 in China in early November. The update came in as EMUI 9.0.0.125 and even though the initial rollout was limited, a full rollout started on November 10th. On December 18th, the Chinese OEM started dishing out the OTA update to global users of the Mate 10.
