So it comes as no surprise that a filter that makes you look like a younger version of yourself has garnered a lot of traction in the social media community. Here is how you too can get the baby filter on TikTok.
What is the Baby filter?
Well, it’s not hard to figure this one out. If you ever wondered what you would look like as a baby with a grown-up body, this is your chance. The baby filter turns back the clock on your facial features to make you look like a baby.
The lens uses facial feature recognition to identify your face (like many other lenses) and softens the edges and age lines (no need to feel bad about those) on your face to give you a younger appearance. And let us just say, it does a really good job of it. Unlike some quite terrible filters out there, the baby filter is most convincing in what it does. You can also use the filter on your primary camera. That means it also works on other people, and even still photos!
Where is the baby filter on TikTok?
Contrary to what you think, the baby filter is not actually on TikTok. The filter is exclusively available on the Snapchat app. Luckily TikTok lets you upload content from your local storage. So for this to work, we will be recording the video on Snapchat and then uploading it on TikTok. Follow the guide below to learn how to go about doing it.
How to get the baby filter on TikTok
To get the baby filter, you need to have a Snapchat account and a TikTok account. Let’s get started.
Step 1: Prepare the video on Snapchat
Launch the Snapchat app. Now on your camera page, tap the Filters button.
To search the huge archive of filters and lenses on the app, tap ‘Explore’ in the bottom right corner.
In the search bar at the top, type in ‘baby’. Tap the filter to start using it. Note: The filter only works on faces. It must recognize a face to activate the lens. We have noticed that the filter only works when the face is directly facing the camera. Side angles of the person’s face do not work.
Now focus your camera on a face. It will immediately transform the features on the face to that of a baby. You can either click a photo by tapping the camera button at the bottom, or record a video by tapping and holding the button for longer.

Step 2: Save the video
Once you have your video on Snapchat, hit the ‘Save button in the bottom left corner. This will save your video to your local storage.
You can access the saved video right from your gallery app.
Step 3: Upload the Snapchat video on TikTok
Now it’s time to upload your video and post it on your TikTok account. To do so, launch the app, and tap on the + in the bottom panel.
Now select ‘Upload’ from the bottom left corner. You should see your saved video from Snapchat. Select the video to upload it to TikTok.
You can use TikTok’s vast library of effects and stickers on your video to spice it up. Once done hit ‘Post’ to get your video up and running on your TikTok account.
