How to record voiceovers in TikTok?

Here’s a step-by-step guide with pictures:

Launch TikTok on your device and tap the ‘+’ at the bottom of your screen.

You will now be taken to the recording screen. Simply use the record button at the bottom to record a video that you wish to overlay with a voiceover. Alternatively, you can also upload a video from your local storage using the gallery icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Once recorded, tap on the checkmark in the bottom right corner of your screen.

You will now be taken to the video finalization screen where you can add different effects and edit the timeline of your video. Tap on ‘Voiceover’ on the right side of your screen.

Now tap the record button at the bottom of your screen and proceed to record a voice over for your video.

If you wish to remove the sound recorded at the time of recording your video then ensure you uncheck the box for ‘Keep original sound’ at the bottom of your screen.

Tap on ‘Save’ in the top right corner of your screen to save your voiceover. If you are not happy with your voice over, you can tap on the undo icon below the timeline and record again. Once you have re-recorded the voiceover, you can tap on ‘Save’ in the top right corner.

You will now be taken back to the finalization screen where you can add further effects to your video before publishing it. Now would be the time to add text, stickers, and voice effects to your video. Once you are happy with the final version of your video, tap on ‘Next’ in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Now add a caption for your video and adjust the privacy settings according to your preferences.

Finally, tap on ‘Post’ in the bottom right corner of your screen to publish the video.

And that’s it! Your new TikTok with a voiceover should now be published to your TikTok channel.
