Delightful Drop Off is the Series 4 Summer Weekly Challenge in the Horizon Mascot Party Festival Playlist. The Feed Me objective is the part most players trip over because the vending-machine hit needs to register as part of a live skill chain.

A Feed Me Skill comes from smashing a Vending Machine. For Delightful Drop Off, the game specifically asks you to do this in the 2017 Toyota JPN Taxi, so changing cars will stop the Weekly Challenge from tracking.
The full Weekly Challenge continues after this with a Car Meet stop and a photo at Tokyo Central Railway Station, but finish the vending-machine objective first so the awkward tracking part is out of the way. The taxi has also been listed as a free Seasonal Job reward by some players, but if that route is not available in your playlist, use whichever garage or playlist path you already have for the 2017 Toyota JPN Taxi.
Tokyo City vending machine routes
Tokyo City is the area to farm because vending machines sit along sidewalks, roadside buildings, gas-station corners, and dense city blocks. A strong starting point is the northern, upper part of Tokyo near the Soko 78 Player House, which works well because the streets give you enough objects to brush through before reaching the machines.
If the upper-city route feels empty, try the southern waterfront streets, especially near building fronts and crossings, then keep moving northwest through nearby roads. Players have also found dense pockets in western Tokyo and near the northeastern entrance of Horizon Stadium.
Do not stare only at the city center. Vending machines can be tucked beside buildings, behind street furniture, or just off the main road, and some are placed behind fences where the taxi cannot cleanly reach them.
Keep the chain alive before the vending machine by clipping fences, cones, or small roadside objects, then hit the machine without slamming into a wall right after it.

If the counter stays stuck, the issue is usually not the machine itself. The game is strict about the 2017 Toyota JPN Taxi, the active skill chain, and what happens immediately after the smash.
