What do you need to be able to open a closed room?

Clubhouse allows you to change the privacy settings of a current room anytime you wish. However, you need to be the moderator to make these changes hence ensure that the room is being hosted by you. You can then use the guide below to make your closed room an open one.

You should also keep in mind that you can open up a closed room in the following ways:

  • Everyone: This will make your closed room public and everyone on Clubhouse will be able to see and join it if they wish to.
  • Anyone a moderator follows: This will open the room to everyone you follow. Additionally, if someone else has also been assigned the role of a moderator then the room will also be open to the people they follow.

Now that you are familiar with the changes, let’s take a look at how you can make a closed room public in the Clubhouse app.
