Sony, earlier today, revealed the list of Xperia devices that will be upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo in the near future and conveniently left out the Sony Xperia XA, XA Dual, and the Xperia XA Ultra.
Now, we are not sure if these devices will be added to the list later, but their absence surely raises a question — will they ever receive Android 8.0 Oreo update?
The Japanese company launched the Xperia XA and XA Dual in June and the Xperia XA Ultra in July last year. All the three phones came with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on-board and were later upgraded to Nougat which is good.

But, if the company left out the said smartphones from the list intentionally, it means they will not be updated to the latest Android OS which is pretty bad taking into account that Android 8.0 Oreo update has been announced within 18 months of the device’s launch.

Usually, smartphone vendors provide software updates to its phones up to 24 months — 18 months at the very least unless, of course, the device is not compatible with the update, which btw, is not the case here. We hope Sony acknowledges this and roll out the update to all the three handsets.
And, in case you are wondering about the list of devices that will be receiving the Oreo update, you can check them out here.
Hopefully they didn’t that will be a big upset
