The Android Pie update for the global model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.5 has been available a while now, but our friends in the US were left waiting by Samsung. Thankfully, that changes today as Sprint is now rolling out Android Pie for its Tab A 10.5, model no. SM-T597P.The Android 9 Pie update for Sprint Galaxy Tab A 10.5 comes as version T597PVPU2BSH7. We are yet to see the carrier confirm the rollout but know Sprint, it’s hardly a surprise.
Software updates in the US usually lag behind the global model, whether it’s a Samsung, OnePlus or LG device. Case in point, the Verizon LG V30 receiving the Android Pie update today, where too the global model had received the update a couple of months ago.
Even for the Android 10 update (features), things won’t be any different. The globals models of the Galaxy S10, Note 10, OnePlus 7 Pro, etc. are expected to receive the stable Android 10 update way before — a month or so — any carrier in the US begins the rollout.
Have you received Android Pie on your Tab A 10.5 at Sprint?
