Snapchat saw its inception back in 2011 with the app first being launched on Apple App store, with the Android release taking place a year later. Fast forward to today, the image messaging app has crossed the 500 million installs milestone on the Google Play Store.
The Android version of Snapchat hasn’t yet received the status and glory that it has on iOS, but the app retains its popularity nevertheless. Stories which was a Snapchat exclusive feature, has now spread to other platforms like Instagram and even messaging platforms like WhatsApp recently.
