Snapchat makes it easy for users to access their most important conversations using the Pin feature. The feature makes sure messages from your preferred people stay at the top of your chat screen so you don’t miss out on messages from people you like.

Does Snapchat notify someone when you pin them?
No. In its help page, Snapchat confirms that it doesn’t notify someone when you pin a conversation with them on the platform. This means none of the three contacts you pin will know that you pinned them on Snapchat.
Can you find who has pinned you on Snapchat?
As explained above, when you pin their conversation, Snapchat doesn’t alert others. So, you cannot find who may have pinned your messages either. The only way you find out whether someone has pinned your conversation is if you can find your conversation at the top of their Snapchat app or by asking them directly about it.
Does the other person know when you unpin them?
No. Unpinning works similarly to pinning on Snapchat, so no one will know when you unpin their conversation on Snapchat. This means no one other than you will know when you remove a pinned conversation or replace it with another conversation on Snapchat.
How to pin someone on Snapchat
You can pin up to 3 conversations at once on Snapchat to make them appear at the top of your chat list. To pin someone on Snapchat, you can follow the steps below:
- Open the Snapchat app on your phone.
- Inside Snapchat, tap on the “Chat” tab at the bottom.
- On the Chat screen, long-press on a conversation you want to pin.
- In the popup menu, select “Chat and notification settings”.
- Here, tap on “Pin Conversation” to pin the conversation. Or, if you want to unpin the conversation, select “Unpin conversation”.
Note: Pinning a conversation will move at the top of the Chat screen and will show a pin icon on it.
