A few days ago, I accidentally dropped my phone while clearing off the table. It fell as if it had a mind of its own and bounced on the floor at least thrice before coming to rest. You can imagine the dread that paralyzed my body.
Anyhow, what I saw was a broken screen protector, and, well, a broken smartphone display. It wasn’t even that deep a fall. I swear my phone wanted to die! I did nothing.
But the phone was old, and of course, cheap. I sure wish this never happens with anyone, especially with a phone that is more expensive than a diamond-studded platinum ring. Yes, I am talking about Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the likes.
This $1,000 beauty boasts of some really high-end features, but the fact of the matter is, its 6.4-inch screen doesn’t pack that strong of a glass.
So here is a list of assorted screen protectors for Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
The U.S.
Here’s a list of top Galaxy Note 9 cases that can be bought from the Amazon.com. So, if you are from U.S., this is the list for you. However, if you are not from the U.S., you may still check out the listings as if the product is available at your local Amazon website, it will automatically open that local listing for you.
Dome Glass Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector Tempered Glass ($44.99)
$60 for an over-the-screen glass! Really? Well, you did buy a $1000 phone – spending another 60 might seem like light expense now, won’t it?
It uses liquid dispersion technology, which is a fancy way of saying that the glue on the glass doesn’t stick until you pass UV-light over it, and it fills in all the scratches when it does stick. Plus, it has a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty. That, and it covers the 3D curve edges of the Note 9’s display as well.
Since the process of putting the screen protector to work is different, the box also contains a nifty installation kit that has the glue-curing UV light as well as an install frame to prevent air bubbles. But remember, this is a DIY-project, so be careful because the price tag up there is no joke.

SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro Series Rugged Holster Case with Built-in Screen Protector & Kickstand ($28)
So this is a screen protector paired with a phone case holster. Yes, a two-in-one. The manufacturer claims that once you put both on, the phone can handle a 20-foot drop. And, though the case is made up of Polycarbonate materials and multi-layered TPU, I will not recommend dropping the Note 9 from that height. I mean who knows, you might have only fragments left. No, just kidding. Don’t get a heart attack!
However, more impressive is the fact that even with this case on, the phone supports wireless charging. The holster is rotatable and everything in the box would be covered under a 1-year warranty. There are 4 colors to choose from – White, Pink, Blue and Black. One con, which I really didn’t like, is once the screen protector is installed, it might be hard to find another case (other than the one that comes with it) that fits, in case you choose to opt for a separate slimmer case.
amFilm Tempered Glass Screen Protector ($11.99)
Another affordable screen protector, amFilm is screen-friendly and offers edge to edge coverage, to even the rounded corners. The price is pretty decent, with the surface hardness of the film standing at H9. The 0.3 mm protector is scratch resistant (to a large extent) and really durable.
India only
Buying a phone is easier than taking a good care of it, be it an entry-level phone or a high-end performance beast. Obviously, accidents happen (like the one happened with me), but just make sure to invest in a quality screen protector for your Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
DBSpark Galaxy Note 9 Screen Protector Glass (INR 599)
While the manufacturer guarantees a perfect fit, the fit should persist even when your Note 9 dons a phone case. This is where this DBSpark comes in. As thin as 0.33 mm, the glass is said to have a surface hardness of 9H. Other than providing an edge to edge full-screen coverage, it also provides protection to those otherwise vulnerable rounded corners.
DBSpark has been diligent is leaving a very tiny bit of gap at the edges to make room for space that may be needed by back covers so that there is no issue using both together. Even the price is a steal, which might soothe your nerves after bringing home the Note 9.

Nillkin Super Frosted Shield (INR 555)
Price: Rs. 555
Another one that comes with a hard back-case, Nillkin Super Frosted Shield is a bit different from the rest. The back cover is anti-skidding and form-fitting and is pretty stylish, to be honest. The screen protector, on the other hand, isn’t anything to write home about, as it offers the same edge to edge protection as others. All in all, this pack of two is something that can keep your Note 9 safe.
