It is also very likely that Netflix was able to recover losses from their ever-increasing subscriber base. Last year Netflix recorded a subscriber base of 195 million subscribers. At the end of the day, producing more original content over time made Netflix more appealing to people. Since everyone was stuck at home, Netflix saw an incredible surge in business in the last year.

How does Netflix fare against the competition?
Netflix, with its $8.99 pricing (minimum monthly membership) manages to stay in the top game thanks to its heavy userbase and content variety. Followed only by Amazon Prime in terms of subscribership, its 14-year presence in the business gives it the edge that makes up for services like Hulu, Disney+ and HBO Max coming out with unbeatable content. Even though Netflix has messed up by canceling popular originals (like Glow) in the past, it’s not enough reason for subscribers to boycott the service. Of course, this does not mean that any of the competitors won’t beat Netflix at all. The tide could shift at any point as more and more streaming services enter the game. With the kind of variety that we’re witnessing in content from other streaming services Netflix may have to pass the baton someday, but anytime soon.

No, Netflix is absolutely not getting deleted in 2022. The company has only been thriving over the last few years. It is reaping the benefits of starting out extremely early in the game. As competition loads up on exceptional content to contend with Netflix, they are still too new to keep up with user loyalty to their favorite Netflix originals. We keep coming back for the latest season of our favorite shows and that keeps Netflix ahead in terms of sheer subscriber volume. Shows and movies aside, there’s also the factor of user preference to consider and even then Netflix does well. Every household has a specific budget set for their subscription services, some might even alternate between services on a monthly basis to create more variety. It is fairly clear by the subscriber count that users prefer to subscribe to Netflix more frequently and consistently than most other services.
The most legitimate reason of all for Netflix never getting deleted is the legacy of Netflix Originals that it now carries. Maybe if the streaming service was only carrying licensed content from other producers and services, then Netflix would struggle. However, Netflix has created some masterpieces like Stranger Things, The Crown, Ozark, It’s okay to not be okay and more exceptional Netflix Originals; so it’s fairly certain that Netflix is here to stay. One can rest assured that as long as the world remains and people want visual content, Netflix is not going anywhere.
What to do if Netflix actually gets deleted in 2022
If there was even a remote possibility of Netflix getting deleted in 2022, then there is very little one can do about it. As a subscriber, the best one can do is take stock of possible replacements to fill their Netflix slots. Of course, there are so many options available in the market that it’s honestly a manageable loss in terms of general content. It’s the Netflix Originals that one cannot replace. Unless Netflix merges with another service, there is no guarantee of Netflix Originals being available anywhere else. If they are, then the subscriber will have a replacement service for Netflix. With all this being said, please keep in mind that Netflix is not getting deleted in 2022.
It’s worth noting that streaming services, despite their competition with each other are also essential to each other. As users grow year on year, the demand for variety only grows and it requires multiple services to cater to this vast demand. In such a conducive situation, Netflix will only thrive.
