Forging is central because stronger weapons and armor are what let you push deeper into dungeons. Use mythic ores when you are committing to serious gear, and avoid mixing ores so your craft stays focused.

Crystalized ore is the core material behind crafting and upgrades, so do not treat it like a collectible to hoard forever. Spend it when a forge upgrade fits your build, but do not dump rare materials into gear you already know you will replace.

For armor progression, light helmet plus heavy armor is the recommended early direction. Light armor is cheaper and has more substats available, but all armor types can work if the rolls and forge plan support your build.

Update 10.4 also brought more predictable forge pools and Blessing upgrades from +1 to +9. Exact odds, ore costs, and Blessing success percentages can shift with the live game, so treat the rune pairings and ore discipline as the part to build around first.

Early weapon setups that clear well

The Mighty Light Sword is the strongest value recommendation right now because it gives excellent return for the cost. Balance updates can change weapon value, but beginners who want efficient progression should start with light weapon setups before experimenting.

If your goal is to farm faster, use a setup that clears enemies quickly and keeps your material income moving. Save staffs and off-build experiments for later, after your forge, race, and pet progress are no longer holding you back.

Beginner mistakes to avoid in Iron Soul Dungeon

Keep grinding dungeons even when progress slows. Enemy kills feed your EXP, materials, and ore income, and those resources are what turn into stronger gear.

Do not hoard ore forever. A good forge upgrade now can speed up every run after it, while a full inventory of unused materials does nothing for your clear speed.

At the same time, do not burn rare resources without a build direction. Pick the weapon style you want, look for useful substats, then spend materials on gear that supports that plan.

Finally, do not rush hard trials before upgrading your gear. If enemies are taking too long to kill or you are getting punished too quickly, go back to the dungeon loop, improve your forge setup, and return stronger.
