Are you a Huawei Nova 3 owner? Then you might be interested to know that the company has released the Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9 update in beta for those enrolled in its testing program.
The new build will bump up the software on board the smartphone to version 220.127.116.11.
Huawei announced that the Nova 3 will be joining its Android 9 Pie beta program last month, alongside another 10 other devices.
The Chinese smartphone giant previously mentioned that in order to join the beta program, owners of the Nova 3 had to have the 18.104.22.168 software installed on their device.
Limited slots were offered for the Nova 3 and the rest of the new devices added, so it’s probably too late to join now. But owners who did register and have been accepted should now be getting the new beta Android 9 Pie update.
Keep in mind, however, that this is a beta, so install at your own risk. There’s always the possibility that you might encounter bugs, so it might be a good idea to back-up your data before proceeding.
But what about the stable Pie update? Well in case things go smoothly with the beta, we can expect it to start rolling out before the end of the year. Fingers crossed.
