How to Share Wordle Results on Facebook or Any Other App on PC or Phone

You’ve spent your whole day trying to figure out the most efficient method on wordle? It’s only right that you share your findings with the world. Wordle results are unique in that they not only tell how quickly you arrived at a solution but also your journey and the mistakes you made on the way. It only makes sense to share these results on Facebook, another website used to track the ups and downs of your life.

We have the guides below about how to share your Wordle results on Facebook both from your phone and PC and we will also talk about the fix for the issue where sharing from Wordle to the Facebook app is getting users blank posts. Read on to find out.

What is Wordle?

Wordle, is an everyday word game available for playing at powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/. Josh Wardle, Wordle’s creator initially wanted to make a little guessing game for himself and his partner but little did he know what Wordle would go on to become. The game has since taken over the internet and appears to be showing no signs of slowing down. Wordle’s player base has also grown from single digits to millions in just a short amount of time after the game was made public by Josh Wardle back in October 2021.

So, what is Wordle and how is it played? If you use Twitter or Facebook, which you most likely do, you must’ve come across posts with small black, green and yellow squares being spammed across your Timeline. Well, you can’t get rid of them, so you might as well learn how Wordle works and how to get in on the fun. Don’t worry we’ve got you covered on that front.

Well, basically, Wordle is a word-guessing game. An online single-player game which you play alone and then compare your results with other players around the world.

The goal is to try and guess a 5 letter word in 6 tries. Sounds easy right? It’s not. Wordle updates with a new word every day and regular players are given a day to guess that word in the least number of tries they can.

Like all ultra-popular apps, Wordle’s rise has also brought out knock-off apps on Google Play Store and the App Store. What you need to remember is that Wordle’s website is the only place it’s available to play right now. They DO NOT have any official app available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. But if you are app-guy, then you can find some alternatives here

Now, if you’re one of the lucky bunch who’ve successfully figured out the word of the day, it’s time to share it with the world.

  1. I have an android phone. I do not want to use Facebook. I would like to text my result to my friend on my phone. Is that possible

  2. I have tried all the options to share and cleared my cache etc… tried in fb and in browser outside fb… every time I choose share it responds, share failed. When I copy the link it posts a link and not picture. When I share from the 3 from the 3 dots it posts a blank page with wordles address… any more ideas to fix this error?

    1. Hi, don’t copy the link, you have to copy the text. See, our guide uses the “Copy text” button, not the “Copy link” button. This shall solve the issue for you.

  3. How do I sync Wordle from my iPad to my iPhone

  4. I also cannot use the Share button – always get SHARE FAILED.

  5. Also, there is no Copy Text button or option on my screen. Using an Android phone.

  6. First game, spent ages hassling friends on FB on how to share result via Android, then gave up and Googled it. You guys came up first.
Have to go the copy and paste route. 🙄
    Cheers loads! From SW Morocco

  7. When I share my Wordle results (and when others share to me) I only see the black/grey squares, no yellow or green. I’m using an android… any thoughts?

  8. Today when I tried to share my wordle result instead of colored boxes showing they were little x’s..how do I fix this?

    For example…

    xx xx

  9. Very thorough instructions HOWEVER. The problem as near as I can tell is the share button isn’t connecting. When it’s being pressed is its highliting the word “share” so it’s causing that to be copied. When you try to paste your results only the word “share” is pasted and nothing else.
I play the game on my iPad which is an older 4th generation model and I’ve tried connecting Wordle game in Facebook, on Safari, and Google (where it couldn’t even be found). The same problem occurred in every instance when the game was played.
At this point until someone can explain how to get Wordles share button to connect I’ve taken to using screen shot of the technical results and post that on FB after cropping to remove game play that remains exposed in the background. This is not ideal because it leaves out which game number results are being shown. Thx for your support.

  10. Have done all of this still can’t share

  11. Trying to ‘share’ wordle from Kindle fire but does not provide option for WhatsApp only ‘paste to clipboard’…..any clues? Thank you

  12. I’m just curious….. when people share Wordle results on Facebook, some people have white squares along with the yellow & green, then others have black instead of white squares. Since there are no preferences in the game, why the difference in colors of squares representing wrong letters?

  13. I feel like we basically want a way to see how we’re doing as compared to other players. Am I really the genius I take myself for?

  14. I keep getting shared to clipboard when I press share. Where do my Wordle results go. I don’t see my results on facebook

    1. They are copied to your device’s clipboard. It is okay.
Go to where you want to share it, and then paste the results (that are in the clipboard). It is easy to do.
Simply right-click on the text field (or tap and hold if you are using a phone), and then select Paste. You will see your Wordle results!

  15. None of this works for me on android. There is no copy button, just a copy to, which opens the file browser rather than copying anything to the clipboard. When I try to paste, it just pastes whatever the last thing I copied happens to be. What did work, though, was to share to gmail, then copy & paste from there before discarding the unwanted email.

  16. All makes no sence to me, I have a life. Why cant the publishers make an automatic results file with stats etc?

    1. Can you share your share screen? Like, what do you see when you hit the SHARE button?

  17. Pushing share on my android phone just showed “share failed” so I just did a screen shot and texted that. Easy peasy.

  18. Has anyone figured out how to Share your Wordle results on Facebook using Chrome?
I belong to a Facebook Wordle group and many people are saying that with chrome, they can’t copy it to Facebook. I’ve been able to do it successfully on my iPhone, iPad and Windows 11 laptop but I don’t use Chrome so I don’t know how to help them. Thanks!

  19. ‘Share Failed’ – so many instructions and advice on how to share but if you get a “share failed” response then there’re no other options. My last resort is phone settings on my Samsung somewhere maybe??? Please help

  20. I have an android phone, and when I “copy text” and paste it into a text message, the Wordle squares show up sideways. To clarify, the puzzle squares turn sideways, so the recipient can’t really decipher your results. Any suggestions?
