Doric’s Quest sends you into Fellhollow in search of rare weapons connected to the region’s old stories. The first weapon Doric asks for is the Undead Ranger’s Bow, and its recipe is hidden inside Skekven Kara, one of Fellhollow’s Dragonkin vaults. After the bow, Doric sends you after the Necromancer’s Staff and Shadow Sword.
Undead Ranger’s Bow location in RuneScape Dragonwilds
The Undead Ranger’s Bow recipe is inside Skekven Kara, the Dragonkin vault in Fellhollow.
Skekven Kara is located on the eastern side of the Lake of Lost Souls, between the lake and Silverthorn Keep. Doric’s camp is nearby, making his location a useful landmark when searching for the vault.
The vault cannot simply be entered when you first arrive. Four Dragonkin Effigies outside the vault have to be activated to open the entrance.

Once inside, the recipe is obtained from another Dragonkin Effigy deeper in the vault.
Requirements to start Doric’s Quest
Before looking for the bow, make sure the relevant quest progression is complete.

How to unlock and craft the Undead Ranger’s Bow in RuneScape Dragonwilds
Follow the vault route to the effigy, then return with the crafted bow.

Your next objective is to craft a Necromancer’s Staff and bring it to Doric in Fellhollow. Doric believes the recipe is in a vault somewhere.

Once the recipe has been learned and all five materials have been collected, return to a Fletching Bench. The Mystic Forge can ascend the Undead Ranger’s Bow.

The finished bow is a Power Level 5 shortbow with increased damage and reduced durability, and it remains in the inventory after Doric inspects it. From there, Doric’s Quest moves on to the Necromancer’s Staff and eventually the Shadow Sword. The Necromancer’s Staff recipe is found in a Dragonkin Effigy inside Vekchenven Kara. The Shadow Sword is different. Its recipe is a rare drop from Zogres, including Zogres found in Fellhollow and the Vekchenven Kara vault encounter.
