How to access AR Doodle on Galaxy S10

Having spent a few weeks optimizing the user interface, Samsung has finally started rolling out Android 10-based One UI 2 for the Galaxy S10 family. The One UI 2 beta went live in the United States on October 14th and is available for download for Sprint, T-Mobile, or unlocked Galaxy S10 users.

Samsung overhauled the entire look and feel of its user interface, last year, with the introduction of Android 9 Pie-based One UI. Over the last year, the South Korean OEM received a lot of plaudits for getting rid of the buggy TouchWiz UI. So, it didn’t make much sense for them to alter something that already works.

OneUI 2 brings a lot of subtle changes to the interface, and we’re here to help you get acquainted. In this piece, we’re focusing on a feature called AR Doodles — a feature Samsung introduced in Note 10. It allows you to doodle on top of whatever you’re recording with your phone’s default camera app.

These fun doodles maintain their original form and position, meaning that if you’ve drawn something on a person’s face, it’ll pop up every time the person comes in the frame. The “Note 10-exclusive” feature was eventually rolled out for the Exynos S10 devices in September, and, now, One UI 2 is bringing it to all three S10 devices — both Exynos and Snapdragon.
