Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro users will have to wait a little longer for the rollout of stable Android 9 Pie update. But the good news is that today, another beta update based on EMUI 9.0 and Android 9 Pie is rolling for the Mate 10 users in Europe.
The news comes via the changelog file we spotted on the Huawei’s HiCloud server. Given the company didn’t announce the rollout yet, it has to be a beta update. Today’s Android 9 beta comes with the software version 9.0.0.106 for the model no. ALP-L09 with custom version needing to be C432.
Huawei says that the update will add on to the user experience, as it incorporates plenty of features like HiVision inspired by Google Lens, GPU Turbo 2.0 for better gaming performance, and a biometric-based password manager for your Huawei Mate 10. Based on EMUI 9.0, Android 9 Pie update promises to integrate natural design language with the typical Android style.
Compared to other OEMs, Huawei is still playing a catch up here, maybe not badly as Samsung though, as OnePlus has already updated its OnePlus 6 to Android Pie, while Essential rolled out Android 9 update nearly the same time as Google — heck, they have even confirmed support of Android Q.

Huawei earlier said that they plan to release the stable update beginning October 16, which we assume is the meant for China and Europe where beta version of Pie update has been available for some time now. In UAE though, the company will release the first beta version on the same date.
