ZTE Axon 7 Oreo update with ‘Stock+’ UI to release in April 2018

Earlier this week it was revealed that the ZTE Axon 7 would receive an update to Android 8.0 Oreo. And now, we have an official release date from the company.

According to ZTE Germany, the Oreo update for the Axon 7 will be released in April 2018. Yes, that is a little later than we expected, but it’s still alright. That isn’t all, as the company also stated that the update would include a new UI called the ‘Stock+ UI.’

The new UI will probably be a much slimmed down version of what the Nougat update for the Axon 7 had. There may not be much bloatware and the whole software should be snappier. Users will have to wait until April next year to enjoy the software though.

How to fix ‘Stock Android has stopped working’ in ZTE phones

The Axon 7 was released in May 2016, so it’s pretty nice of ZTE to provide the Oreo update for the phone. Customers are definitely going to be happy getting the update that includes several new features such as Picture-in-Picture, smart text selection,  notification dots, Project Treble, and more.
