Xiaomi Redmi 4A MIUI 10 update
- Stable version released on 26 Nov 2018
The stable MIUI 10 update is now available for Xiaomi Redmi 4A across the globe as MIUI 10.1.1.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A Android Oreo update
- Not eligible
- Oreo-based custom ROMs available
The Redmi 4A was launched with Android Marshmallow and like any other budget Xiaomi phone, only one major Android OS upgrade is guaranteed. The update already rolled out in form of Android 7.1 Nougat, marking the end of the road for the Redmi 4As official OS upgrades, but all is not lost.
A quick scan on the XDA developers website and you won’t be short of Oreo-based ROMs for your Redmi 4A, so be sure to check out the website if you really want to get past Nougat.
Xiaomi Redmi 4A Android Pie update
- Not eligible for Android Pie
- Pie-based Custom ROMs expected
As far as Android Pie is concerned, there won’t be such an update for the Redmi 4A. In fact, the device won’t be getting past the current Android 7.1 Nougat OS, which will, of course, disappoint some. On the brighter side, you may never be short of custom ROMs based on Android Pie, so make sure you start getting some lessons on how to flash one on your Redmi 4A handset ahead of time.
