Many smartphone fans love software updates, but they love them more when these updates are accompanied by new features and tangible improvements.
This is why Xiaomi fans are always excited when news of a new software update pops up, but the latest MIUI 10 beta 8.10.18 doesn’t bring new features, instead, it focuses on improving the general stability and performance of the system as well as fixing some stubborn bugs found in the outgoing beta 8.10.11.
As per the changelog preview, the now rolling-out MIUI 10 8.10.18 update fixes issues where translation for “About phone” is not accurate for those in Portugal; Mi Drop transfer automatically disconnects; Mi Community keeps stopping; wrong date format in German; and error where view SIM card space displays blank names when opened directly in the Settings app, but this problem is so far limited to the global Redmi Note 5 (Note 5 Pro in India).

This is a pre-release, meaning only a handful of eligible devices can grab the OTA update. The wider rollout will commence later this week, which is when we’ll also have access to recovery and fastboot download files for manual installation.
