The trio of Xiaomi Mi 5, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Xiaomi Mi Mix has been trialing Android 8.0 Oreo for several months now and it seems the company is happy with the results. The three are now receiving the stable version of Oreo with the latest MIUI 9.6.1 update.
Users of Xiaomi Mi 5 have had the Oreo beta for the longest time compared to the Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix, but the stable version is available to all three as of this writing. The update is available over the air, but we also have download links to the recovery files for the three devices, which you can grab and install the update manually.

All three Xiaomi phones have been around since 2016 and with the latest update to Android 8.0 Oreo, it marks the end of the road for the trio when it comes to major OS upgrades. But of course, Xiaomi will keep on sending MIUI-based updates, with the latest MIUI 10 beta already available for the three.
