Rocket League is the world’s greatest trading game, and it just so happens to come with the added benefit of a robust vehicular soccer mini-game for those who want to blow off some steam when playing the market gets a little too hectic. All jokes aside, if you play Rocket League you know how largely Trading and the player-driven economy figures into the game.
In the years since Rocket League’s debut, the game has only continued to grow, and the recent free-to-play update has only further boosted the already tens of millions-strong playerbase. More players means more trading, which means a yet-bigger economy.

And Rocket League players love to trade almost as much (if not more) than they love to smash into each other at high speeds. The only thing more gratifying than a bombastic goal explosion is flipping that goal explosion, or that decal, or those wheels for a fat, meaty profit.
So much that some players play the actual game just to fuel the trading side. There’s nothing better than flexing a sick set of wheels or a shiny new TW Octane in that lobby, is there? But a TW Octane is expensive, which is what makes it in many ways a legitimate status symbol.
But you have to ask yourself: What is the most expensive item in Rocket League? The one for the biggest bucks? Well, after scouring through current price indexes on multiple sites, we think we have an answer.

Most Expensive Rocket League Item on PC, Xbox, PS4 and Switch
Establishing the most expensive item on Rocket League can get a bit murky. Commonly traded items, even higher-end ones like TW Octanes or Zombas, are generally pretty accurate prices on most of the Rocket League price indexes because of their high trade volume.
Super ultra-expensive items are harder to track; indexes use listed prices to determine the minimum and maximum price of an item, meaning that if an item hasn’t been sold in months and the listing is a ridiculous number, that can skew the algorithm way upwards.
Down below we’ve tried to shed some light to determine, among a few options, what the most expensive item in Rocket League is.
Striker White Apex
- PC: 70-90K
- Xbox One: 70-90K
- PS4: Around 80K
- Switch: N/AA
The Striker White Apex is a wheel with a distinct asterisk pattern and bright white luminescent finish. The Titanium White Apex Wheel without the certification can for as low as 40-50k depending on the platform, but with that most coveted of certifications, you can expect to be shelling out (or charging) around twice that.
Compared to others on this list, a Striker White Apex isn’t the single most expensive Rocket League item but it’s one of them and the most frequently traded of any other on this list.

Gold Rush
- PC: 400K – 1M+
- Xbox One: 400K – 1M+
- PS4: 400K – 1M+
- Switch: N/A
The first of the three Alpha items on this list, the Gold Rush is a super limited edition boost that was given to Alpha testers before the release of the game — so yeah, you’re looking at something pretty OG here to Rocket League, hence the beyond-luxury price tag.
The prices vary pretty wildly, with the Gold Rush being one of the rarest items in the game worth serious amounts of real-world money, but you can rest assured it’s one of the most expensive Rocket League items ever.
Gold Cap
- PC: 100 – 110K
- Xbox One: 80K – 150K
- PS4: 100 – 200k
- Switch: N/A
The Gold Cap is another Alpha Reward that dates back to Rocket League’s prehistoric era, and one that changes hands a bit more often the Gold Rush boost — hence the comparatively lower (but still absolutely wild) price tag.
The Gold Cap might not be the most expensive item in Rocket League, or even the most expensive hat (more on that in a bit), but it’s certainly the flashiest, and one that you could sell for more than a few TW Octanes.
Goldstone
- PC: 300K-400K
- Xbox One: 300K-400K
- PS4: 100K-300K
The Goldstone wheels are the third and final piece in the Alpha rewards set and, like the others, is one of the most expensive items in Rocket League and one whose true value is difficult to calculate.
Most indexes place the wheels somewhere around 300k credits, which falls in-line with their pre-credits price of around 2100 keys. That said, considering the overwhelming rarity of the wheels, their true price truly depends on the interaction between buyer and seller.
If you’re dying for a set of Goldstones, and the few owners who possess them aren’t inclined to part with them, you might never be able to afford them. Whereas, if they are the ones dying for something you have, like a Striker White Apex, they might be willing to bring the price down to something within the range of insane, rather than just… you know… impossible.
White Hat
- PC: ???
- Xbox One: ???
- PS4: ???
- Switch: ???
Here it is. The holy grail of Rocket League luxury. The White Hat is almost certainly the most expensive Rocket League item, ever. Period. The White Hat is a reward given to players who are able to successfully locate and exploit, hack or other security vulnerability in the game and report it to Psyonix — essentially choosing the more pious route. The term comes from the idioms White Hats and Black Hats, meant to dichotomize ethical and unethical hackers respectively.
Because you have to literally hack into Rocket League — successfully — and subsequently report it to Psyonix, the White Hat is exceedingly rare. Few indeed have the technical chops to even attempt something as audacious as bug-hunting Rocket League. Thus the real, actual price is almost impossible to determine — and so ridiculously high according to estimates that there aren’t enough digits on some indexes to show the full price range:
Indeed, there is no flex like the White Hat. It has been the single rarest item in Rocket League for a long, long time and will probably never change.
If you really want a White Hat but, like 99.999% of the population, don’t have the means to locate a security flaw in Rocket League, you’ll have to either shell out thousands and thousands of real-world dollars to buy one or, you know, shell out thousands and thousands of dollars for a full-blown degree in Cybersecurity.
Yeah, no matter how you slice it, the White Hat is the most expensive Rocket League item.
