Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been making noise for a long time now. Officially announced on March 29, 2017, both the devices are now leading the tech headlines. With beautiful design, appealing features and outstanding accessories, Samsung is sure to bury the Note 7 fiasco under the rugs with Galaxy S8 and S8+, unless, bad luck triumphs.
One feature of Galaxy S8 and S8+ that has left people in complete awe of Samsung is the inclusion of Samsung’s new intelligent personal Assistant called Bixby. Using the combined power of voice, touch, and text, Bixby is capable of controlling your phone settings all through voice. Not only that, Bixby even provides personalized cards for you, tad similar to Google Now, using Bixby Home. To top it all off, Samsung has supplemented it with Bixby vision, which in simple words uses your camera to do an image search using visual cues.

Naturally, we are pretty excited about the Samsung Bixby. So we decided to check whether its counterparts – Apple Siri and Google Assistant, are as excited as we are for the Bixby.
To our surprise, they weren’t.
Here’s what they had to say about Bixby.
“Do you know Bixby”
When asked, “Do you know Bixby”, Apple Siri avoided the question by giving a weird answer saying, “This is about you, not me”, while Assistant, although didn’t say who Bixby was, it didn’t deny the existence of Bixby altogether, rather, to our relief showered us with some Bixby links.

“Are you friends with Bixby”
Next, we decided to ask them whether they have befriended Bixby. Siri continued to avoid the conversation by saying, “We were talking about you, not me”. On the other hand, Google Assistant, honestly said, “I can’t tell, sorry”.
Considering the fact that both Google Assistant and Bixby will live side by side on the Samsung S8 and S8+, it was a clever answer for now.
“How do you feel about Bixby”
Lastly, we asked them, “How do you feel about Bixby?” Finally, some honest answer from Siri that said, “It doesn’t really matter what I think”. Since, it’s highly unlikely that Samsung will push Bixby on Apple devices, it actually doesn’t matter what Siri or Apple users feel about Bixby.
On the other hand, without sugar coating its words, Google Assistant also gave a clear and honest answer by saying, “Sorry, I can’t tell.” As mentioned above, Assistant and Bixby will live under the same house, so only time will tell how they both feel about this live-in relationship.

Clearly, it seems both Assistant and Siri are not really in friendly terms with Bixby, with Siri continuing its legacy of being rude and brash, and Assistant being tight-lipped for now.
