Vodafone Australia confirms Galaxy S10 stability update and Android Pie status for Galaxy S9, S9+, and Note 8

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Vodafone Australia update

Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e haven’t even begun selling in Australia but one of the country’s leading telcos, Vodafone Australia, is already detailing its immediate software update plans for the trio.

Apparently, the telco is lining up a stability update to be released to the Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e once they are available in the market. We still don’t have details of the changelog, but of course, this should be one of those maintenance releases aimed at ironing out kinks in the initial software.

The telco has also shed some light on the status of Android Pie updates for the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, and the aging Galaxy Note 8. As per the updated schedule, the S9 and S9+ have now entered the testing phase, but we don’t know how long they’ll remain in this stage.

The story is the same as far as the Galaxy Note 8 is concerned, but for those using the newer Galaxy Note 9, the telco says it’s done testing and is only waiting to release the stable update to Pie.

It’s worth noting that Europe has already received the stable update to Android 9 Pie for all devices mentioned in this post as well as the Galaxy S8 and S8+. In the U.S., though, only the S9, S9+ and Note 9 have tasted Pie, but the wait is still on for owners of the 2017 trio of Galaxy Note 8, S8 and S8+.
