Stable MIUI 10 OTA update for Xiaomi Mi Max 2 halted, quick re-release promised

Mi Note 3 and Redmi 3S MIUI 10 update

It’s only yesterday that we reported about a stable MIUI 10 update rolling out to Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and today, the update has been halted with no detailed explanation as to why.

Of course, it’s likely because the update had some bugs that forced the company to halt the rollout, but we still don’t know when it will resume, although we know the wait won’t be long. Xiaomi had been testing the MIUI 10 beta on the Mi Max 2 for several weeks before making the stable version available for download.

It is for such reasons that companies usually release software updates in batches, such that in case anything goes wrong, the number of cases to deal with is minimized. If you had already received this update, feel free to share your experience with us in the comments section below.

We’ll update this page when the rollout resumes.
