Huawei announced EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie at the beginning of this month and opened the beta program in China a few days later. To our surprise, the company started rolling out the stable build to one of the devices in the beta program – the Honor Play – and it appears that there are others getting ready to receive the stable EMUI 9 build too.
Users of the Honor 10 and Honor View 10 (also known as Honor V10) can already install the beta version of Android 9 Pie on these devices and even though it had been claimed Huawei will out the stable version in mid-October, the latest developments now give us tangible evidence to back this claim.

Multiple variants of the Honor 10 and View 10 have been cleared to receive Android 9 Pie update by the WFA, all but confirming that the OS will begin rolling out soon.
Now, ‘soon’ here is relative, but history tells us that the wait could be as short as one week or as long as eight weeks. Of course, we are hoping for something leaning towards the former wait-time.
