Sony Xperia X and X Compact Nougat update released as OTA today in Europe, Asia and Latin America

After the Xperia X Performance and Xperia XZ Android 7.0 update rollout, Sony today has expanded the Nougat release for Xperia X, Xperia X Dual and X Compact too, which were lined up for Nougat release after the XZ in the leaked roadmap from October.

The Nougat update arrives as software version 34.2.A.0.266 for all three handsets from Sony, and the OTA is already rolling out in Asia, Europe and Latin America, and stand confirmed for Australia, Vietnam, Turkey, Russia and Thailand.

Specific model no. of the Xperia X that’s getting Android 7.0 OTA update today is F5121, while that of X dual is F5122, and of X Compact is F5321.

Nougat update brings lots of cool features and performance improvements to the device, but for Sony, it also gets you ‘Change font‘ option, among other things.

Sony is expected to released Nougat for Xperia Z5 pretty soon too, with January looking like the most probably month. Check out our Sony Nougat update page for all the info on this.
