April Fools’ Day is an eventual day for tech firms such as Google. Likewise, this year there have been a slew of pranks already lined up all over the web. The one from Google is Smartbox by Inbox.
Google claims that Smartbox is a smarter mailbox with the ability to merge physical mail with email. Smartbox is a mailbox with several features that are available in email such as smart folders. It is claimed to give an electrical shock to someone who tries to fill the mailbox with spam.
Smartbox is right now in the field trail and it means that Google has it fixed to the ground in a field. The Gmail users who are interested to reserve a spot in the Smartbox waitlist can do so by sending an email to inbox@google.com before April 2.
