Farm bosses for duplicate Mythic gear, then exchange it with Ginzo for one Mythic Refinement Ore per piece.
Repeated boss farming can supply ore for free: boss chests can award it directly, while bosses can also drop red-bordered Mythic equipment for exchange. Even the spare armor gets a job.
Turn boss gear into Mythic Refinement Ore
Bosses have their own exclusive equipment drops, so any surplus Mythic gear can contribute to the exchange instead of one named item. Sanemi, Sumari, and Reaper are examples; boss farming can also yield cash and other materials. Sumari’s drop chest can yield the Mythic Black Kumo Slayers Uniform, while Reaper’s can yield Reaper’s Outfit.

Demonic Lantern, Flame Harry, and Flame Scarf are examples of equipment selected for conversion. Keep useful pieces for yourself; the exchange turns surplus Mythic gear into ore without requiring one particular boss drop.

Get ore from chests, fishing, and the dungeon
The Archives entry for Mythic Refinement Ore gives chest drop rates and lists fishing as another way to get it. You can also buy ore at the dungeon exchange stall marked WEN AREA.

Spend Mythic Refinement Ore on weapons
Once you have ore, Refiner Hagane can use it for weapon refinement. The Katana upgrade from Level 5 to Level 6 is a concrete point where Mythic Refinement Ore enters the process.
Ore is also a material for Damascus weapons for demons and V2 weapons, including upgraded Nichirin weapons such as the Volcanic Katana and Butterfly Katana. At Nichirin Forge, Blacksmith Togane offers recipes for Damascus Claws and Volcanic Katana. The Volcanic Katana recipe includes Mythic Refinement Ore. The general V2 weapon recipe includes 500 Metal Scraps and 300 Silk Threads.
Hold the base weapon you intend to reforge and select its next tier. Half of its refinement carries over to the new weapon.
Forgotten Ruins is another location for crafting V2 gear. The ore you collected has work waiting for it beyond the materials tab.
