Update [October 09, 2019]: We now have the details of the One UI 2 beta program for the US too. Samsung US announced earlier today they will be releasing the Android 10 beta update in the US too pretty soon for the selected users under the beta program. In the US, the beta program is restricted to users of S10e, S10 and S10+ at Sprint and T-Mobile, as well as the US Unlocked variant. Users will be able to join the program via the Samsung members app, wherein they will get the notification once the registrations are live. [Update: Announced for Europe, too!]
Original article:
Samsung has finally announced its Android 10 beta program for the Galaxy S10e, S10 and S10+ users in Korea (only!). The Android 10 update will be called One UI 2, and Korean users will soon be able to join the One UI 2 beta program, Samsung says, also revealing that One UI 2 for S10 5G will be announced later.
With the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro already receiving Android 10 a while ago, Samsung is already playing catch-up in rolling out Android 10 update. Today’s announcement doesn’t mention Galaxy Note 10, so we will presume Android 10 update is not ready for the device yet — earlier, rumors indicated that Samsung will be rolling out Android 10 for both S10 and Note 10 sets in early October.
Samsung hasn’t revealed when it plans to release the Android 10-based One UI 2 update in the US, Europe and other parts of the world, which is a bit upsetting given the delay already caused. Though, we expect an announcement soon.
