Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S10 in about five months’ time and as you’d expect, leaks are already up and running, the latest of them here to touch on the model numbers of the device’s various variants.
We’ve heard recently that the Galaxy S10 will come in four variants. Initially, there was only talk of three, but recent leaks have suggested that there’s a fourth variant that will be limited to 5G connectivity. So far, we know these devices will be codenamed beyond 0, beyond 1, beyond 2 and beyond 2 5G, but we now have more details about three of them – their specific model numbers.
Apparently, three of the Galaxy S10 variants will have model numbers SM-G970, SM-G973, and SM-G975. As you may have noticed, the fourth variant is nowhere to be seen, but it’s likely to come with model number SM-G978, much like what we saw on the Galaxy S6 Edge+ that had model number SM-G928. Of course, this is just a hunch!
Typically, the SM-G970 model should be the Galaxy S10 while SM-G975 will be the S10+. As for SM-G973, we still don’t know its exact identity, but it’s likely to be the entry-level variant whereas the SM-G978, if it materializes, will be the 5G variant.
