While 6GB variant will be the standard one, there will also be an “Emperor” edition which will reportedly come with 8GB of RAM. The leak further suggests that next year’s Galaxy Note which will likely be called the Galaxy Note 9 will pack 12GB of RAM.
To be honest, 12GB of RAM on a smartphone feels unnecessary at the moment. In fact, even 6GB of RAM seems a bit of an overkill. But again, this is just a speculation and let’s take it with a pinch of salt.
Also, the Note 8 is expected to feature 256GB of onboard storage. That’s good news definitely. In fact, smartphone vendors should start throwing in more storage space rather than including high amounts of RAM.
