Samsung Galaxy A5 Oreo update rolling out in Canada

Early in the year when Samsung finally released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the flagship Galaxy S8 and S8+, hopeful users of mid-range devices like the Galaxy A5 2017 edition felt that their time to shine would come soon too. However, it took the South Korean giant a few more months to prepare the Android Oreo update for the device, and it was finally made available for public release back in April.

While most Galaxy A5 users across the world are still waiting for the highly anticipated Android 8.0 update, it seems the wait is finally over for the Canadians. We had recently reported that Canadian network carrier Fido is expected to launch Oreo update for Galaxy A5 2017 by the end of June, and although the update is a week late, it is finally landing on devices across the Great White North.
