How to Root MIUI 8 on all Xiaomi Redmi and Mi Devices

Although Xiaomi has been shipping a lot of devices lately with Android 6.0 Marshmallow based MIUI 8 ROM, but the Chinese manufacturer still has a lot of devices to push the MIUI 8 update too. And they are working on it.

For the folks among us wondering about rooting MIUI 8, know that it’s still as easy as it was on previous MIUI versions. All you need is TWRP recovery installed on your device and then you can flash the latest SuperSU zip and get rooted.

Also, it has been reported that some Xiaomi devices on MIUI 8 can also get root with Kingroot app. We don’t have confirmation for this method, but in case you can’t find TWRP recovery for your device, just go ahead and try rooting MIUI 8 using the Kingroot app.
