U.S. users of the Moto Z2 Force on Verizon and T-Mobile started receiving the update to Android Oreo in December 2017 and now it’s the turn for those in Canada to join the party.

Rogers has just confirmed that the Moto Z2 Force Oreo update is ready for download, coming in as build number OPX27.109-40. Despite v8.1 Oreo having been around for a while now, the Z2 Force is only getting the original version 8.0, which is a bit of a disappointment, but many can live with it. Besides, this is the same version that U.S. users received on their handsets.

With the update, you get all the goodies you’ve probably heard about Android Oreo. However, note that this is an OTA update and like any other, it will take time before all Moto Z2 Force units receive the prompt to download and install it.

Rather than wait for days or maybe a week, you can try a manual update by heading to Settings>About Phone>System Update>OK and follow the simple onscreen instructions to complete the upgrade. Since the update is huge, make sure you have a stable Wi-Fi connection.
